We've just completed the release and deployment of the latest Pay-As-You-Go (PAGO) edition of Virtuoso + DBpedia to the Amazon AWS Cloud.
What is this?
A virtual machine in the Amazon AWS Cloud that includes:
- Preloaded and preconfigured Virtuoso SPARQL & SQL RDBMS instance -- i.e., a variant of what's deployed at http://dbpedia.org, specifically tuned for the host virtual machine.
- Preloaded DBpedia dataset -- i.e., actual replica of the massive collection of structured data (using RDF Language statements) generated from Wikipedia document content.
Why is it important?
Relieves users, integrators, and developers of the tedium associated with manually loading and configuring a DBpedia instance via the data dumps published by the DBpedia project.
How do I use it?
Simply perform the following steps:
- Click on "Continue" button
- Select your preferred Virtual Machine (AMI) type
- Wait for AMI to be generated
- Start experiencing the combined power of Virtuoso, DBpedia dataset, and 5-Star Linked Open Data deployment via SPARQL Endpoint, Faceted Browsing Pages, or basic Linked Data Browsing Pages.
