The Team The Knowledge Graph team is part of the Trip Platform Organization. Trip Platform's vision is for Airbnb to be the best place to plan and book the magical end-to-end trip. The Knowledge Graph team is responsible for ingesting, storing, querying, and establishing relationships between data. It currently stores data for: homes, experiences, restaurants, places, amenities, categorization tags, locations, photography, and events. It powers all navigation and groupings that appear on the homepage, within search and in emails. Challenges include: Maintaining a consistent universal taxonomy to categorize all of Airbnb's inventory (Homes, Experiences etc.), places and other related entities. Build systems/processes to ensure data quality remains high even as we support ingestion of data from multiple sources.
