Blog post showcasing the use of schema.org Actions as a mechanism for running effective Email marketing campaigns. Naturally, although GMail is the focal point of this blog post, the fundamental concepts are exploitable using any Email clients that include the ability to process HTML and Javascript [which is less of a security concern if Emails are digitally signed.
