Slides 1-14. Shows how Internet-focused companies have taken over the world of business in the past 20 years. Also shows the trends everyone on Facebook already knows: we spend more time here than ever before. Slides 15-26. Talks about mobile advertising opportunity. Lots more money to come. Except mobile ads are hard. Mary shows new kinds of ad formats, though, that are working on mobile. Also, growth of monetization like Facebook and Twitter is still happening, but slowing. Look for buy buttons everywhere. Mobile video taking off (Meerkat, Periscope style). 9x higher completion rate for vertical ads on Snapchat. Well, duh. Kids don't want to turn their phones horizontally. Matches what I saw at Coachella, where 2/3rds of kids were shooting video vertically. Slides 27-44. Slackization of work. Slack "can reduce internal email traffic materially, she writes. Point of sale systems getting much more sophisticated. Other tools like Domo, Inc., DocuSign, Square, Intercom, Gainsight, Direct.ly, Zenefits, Anaplan, Greenhouse Software, Checkr, GuideSpark, Envoy, all made work easier and better in various ways. (I added these all to my startup list here on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/lists/10151131074469655 -- that now has more than 3,000 startups on it).
